Thanks for visiting our website. Here is brief description of our Steampunk beads. Each bead is carefully created from original gears, and miscellaneous mechanical parts often salvaged and recycled from old, surplus, or no longer useful machinery. The parts come from wherever I can find them. I also make the stone or glass inlays included in some of the beads. These repurposed parts are combined with parts fabricated from sterling silver, brass, copper and steel. All beads are soldiered and set with sterling tubing to create a sturdy intriguing piece of jewelry. They are a nostalgic link to the past machine age or in the Steampunk tradition, a bridge to a past that has not happened yet. They offer visual and tactile homage to the beauty and cleverness of machines.
