Caring for your bead
All beads come with a coat of Renaissance wax to protect the bead from tarnish.
Renaissance wax is easily purchase online. These beads are very sturdy and if you are wanting a shinier bead they are easily polished with a polishing cloth, polishing paper, or polishing pads. Many beads come with patinas which compliment the design. If you wish to maintain the patina you would be wise not to polish away the patina. Each bead is polished to enhance the features of that bead. The bead
once it arrives to you is now your creation. The sturdiness of the bead may invite
you to experiment with patina knowing you can return the bead to a more
polished state. If you are cleaning your bead it is wise to avoid chemicals or solutions that may remove any patina you wish to maintain. The simplest way I have found to polish your bead is to use polishing pads produced by by Eurotool. These are simple to use. Just rub lightly across the area to polished .
These are small 2"x2" pads that bring out the brightness with just a few passes.
Remember to avoid areas with patina. Renaissance wax and Eurotool polishing
pads are available at Jewelry supply websites and Amazon.com.
